Social Enterprise, Non-profit with FCRA Certificate
Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) works to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 2030 indicator for Public Policy in Action. The organization works directly with more than 1 million people in 2,000 villages in five of India’s poorest states and has impacted over 10 million people through formal engagement with governments at all levels.
It is also the only NGO to be formally part of all leading rural/poverty national programmes in India and future programmes like Rurban Mission. It has leveraged its spot in public programmes to demonstrate solutions, resulting in a strong foundation that allows TRIF to create change in rural poverty, gender equality and governance areas.
The non-profit Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) has focused its COVID-19 relief effort on providing humanitarian relief and economic restoration. It has been working with vulnerable communities – single women, the elderly, particularly vulnerable tribal groups, returning migrants, youths, and marginal smallholder farmers.
It has also equipped frontline health workers with protective gear, increased testing capacity, supplied oxygen equipment, and conducted vaccination drives, etc.
The pandemic has been about how we've taken responsibility to make the world a better place and that has brought out the best in us, helped us exceed ourselves. We've been working tirelessly and fearlessly with communities as the pandemic has spread through rural areas. We're pouring more energy and creativity to ensure that our communities don't just bounce back but also grow.
