SAMRIDH (Sustainable Access to Market and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare) aims to support the adoption and scaling up of market-based health solutions addressing the pandemic’s emergency and surge needs through blended financing.

The solutions include augmenting oxygen supplies, infrastructure, supply chains, community-based case management and outreach, demand generation, etc. The financing can be pure grants, a mix of grants complimenting debt, and pure blended capital transactions.

COVID-19 Response

So far, SAMRIDH has identified and provided support to some 30 healthcare enterprises with affordable growth capital. It has mobilized a $100 million pool of debt, equity and grants to seek leverage of 5-10 times. These efforts are aimed at strengthening comprehensive healthcare services for vulnerable populations and reducing out-of-pocket expenditures for low-income communities.

USAID and partners are supporting SAMRIDH, which is bringing high-impact, market-based solutions to India's most vulnerable communities to address the COVID-19 pandemic and future health crises.
