Noora Health's mission is to improve outcomes and save lives by empowering family caregivers with the skills they need to care for their loved ones. It does this by turning hospital hallways into classrooms in 165 hospitals in India and Bangladesh. So far, it has trained 1.3 million patients and caregivers, with research finding improved adoption of health behaviours and decreases in complications.

COVID-19 Response

During the pandemic, Noora Health’s primary objective has been to drive positive behaviour adoption and retention in as many at-risk communities as possible as quickly as possible. It has done so by creating engaging health education content (22 high-impact topics in 12 languages), training 5,000 frontline workers spanning a network of NGOs and providing home isolation phone support to COVID-19-positive patients, ultimately reaching 15.6 million people.

This wave has hit particularly close to home, with every one of our colleagues, partners, nurses, patients and families being impacted. The reality in India and Bangladesh reinforces the importance of our mission – that families must be empowered and equipped to take charge of their health outcomes when the public health system is overburdened.
