Social Enterprise, Non-profit with FCRA Certificate
Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals works through an #Enterprise4impact model that harnesses the power of enterprises in the form of collectives (self-help groups, farmer producer organizations, farmer producer companies, federations, and cooperatives), start-ups, micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other structures to create sustainable impact in communities.
The organization has positively impacted more than 1 million smallholder farming families across 20 states in India over the last two decades.
The organization has worked with partner entities to distribute COVID-19 and personal protection equipment (PPE) kits to rural communities. It has also set up a 75-bed COVID Care Centre and run a COVID call centre in seven Indian languages. To ensure inclusive vaccine access, it has conducted awareness programmes to reduce vaccine hesitancy and facilitated vaccination drives. The organization has also distributed dry food rations to farmers and migrant laborers.
COVID-19 has brought about a major change in the way in which civil society organizations in India, including the Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP), have been working. The pandemic has created multiple collaborative networks that have delivered relief on a large scale on a pan-India basis. ISAP has been able to leverage its significant on-the-ground presence to deliver relief to its communities in multiple geographies where it has a significant presence. We have provided relief to around half a million fellow citizens through our various interventions.
