Berlin

Trevor Paglen is a visual artist and geographer whose work is about mapping the surveillance world. He exposes the convergence of how aesthetics, industrial design and politics influence the way we see and understand the world. Through image-making, sculpture, investigative journalism, writing and engineering, he develops ways to make surveillance systems and technologies more understandable and familiar. He is a 2017 recipient of the MacArthur Foundation Award.
